Project Description:

Buildcom was contracted by the client to install insulated wall panels to the interior of the building. The client required another room to be created, bounded by the insulated panelling. The nature of their business is providing geochemical and precious metal analysis to the mining industry. A new machine was to be housed within the installed panels.

Customised Solution:

The clients requested a room in which heat, dust and the acoustics could be controlled, so the work environment was comfortable. Two insulated panel walls were installed at the premises, 11600W x 6700H, with the thickness at 100mm.

Xflam was the chosen insulated panel to be installed. Xflam is a cellular foam product that uses natural air filled cells to deliver very sound thermal resistance. With no gas present within the cell filling, only natural air, this ensures the performance of the Xflam panels.

For access into the room an opening was created with installation of a personnell door. One of the panels were modified by Buildcom to allow for this without compromising their performance.
