Project Description:

Buildcom was contracted to construct a two story office warehouse training facility in Bibra Lake. Fit-out was required to all rooms of the building to accommodate their clientele.

Customised Solution:

Our client for this project required a particular fit-out for the premise due to the space becoming a training facility. With the large number of people accessing the building daily, a generous reception, full functioning kitchen, four office’s plus a meeting room all required to be fitted out to accommodate the foot traffic.

The ground floor consists of a large reception area, five offices, meeting room, bathroom/ toilets and a very generous lunchroom.

The first floor (accessible by both a stair case and lift) consists of the fifth office, three large training rooms and a conference room.

To the ground floor walls 92mm steel stud with 13mm plasterboard was installed and the ceilings are suspended exposed grid with mineral fibre tiles. The first floor required the same installation as the ground but with the added special “acoustisorb” insulation. Extra framing to the walls for the training rooms and lunch room were installed for the provision of flat screen televisions to be mounted. Glazing partitioning for offices were also installed to allow for light and a comfortable work area.

To allow for easier access to the first floor, a 400kg, 5 passenger, fully automatic door, lift was installed.

The training facility also required commercial grade carpet tiles and slip resistant tiling to the wet areas. The reception, corridors and stairs were fitted with Expona commercial vinyl plank, which lends itself well to heavy foot traffic.

Lunch and conference rooms were fitted out with 700mm deep laminated bench tops with doors and draws and stainless steel sinks. Overhead cupboards, allowances for dishwasher and microwaves were also a requirement in the lunch room.

Air-conditioning was designed and fitted to offer noise control and being able to cool and maintain a comfortable temperature throughout. Each zone was carefully considered and Daikin was the choice made by the client. The system is able to be controlled by an all-in-one integrated touchscreen controller.

Special Features:

  • Acoustisorb for noise reduction in staircase
  • 5 Person, 400kh passenger lift
  • Commercial grade vinyl
  • Glass sliding door access
  • Commercial grade carpet tiles
  • Daikin iZone 311 Integrated air-conditioning
